Lagoon Avenue & Fremont Avenue S.
A classic Uptown office/retail building that The Ackerberg Group renovated in 1996. The renovation included the upgrading of the main restrooms, adding new storefronts, upgrading the mechanical systems, fixing the facade, and making aesthetic improvements.
Built originally as the Irwin Building in 1923, the building has long been home to a variety of professional services and retailers. For example, the Calhoun School of Music occupied Room 206 in 1930. Thomas Jewel Box occupied the ground floor from the mid 1940s through the early 1960s. Consistent throughout the building's life is that small businesses have taken advantage of the opportunity to occupy the building's many small suites.
The Ackerberg Group has since sold the property.
