Mike rejoined The Ackerberg Group in June 2005 after first joining the group in 1992. He is the team leader for The Ackerberg Group’s brokerage division and responsible for it's day-to-day operation.

His concentration is in the urban areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul with a specialized focus in the greater Uptown area of Minneapolis where he is recognized as Uptown’s expert. Mike’s experience in many different facets of commercial real estate coupled with the ability to deliver solutions to solve complex real estate problems and delivering superior service make him valuable to his clients. 

Mike currently serves as Treasurer to the Uptown Association and serves on the association’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.  Mike has served on boards of the Lake Street Council, Sholom Community Alliance, Minneapolis Jewish Federation and Hopkins Royals Basketball Association. His enjoyment of sports and interest in engaging youth has led him to be active in youth sports – often coaching and volunteering in his community.

Hugh comes to Ackerberg with substantial expertise, experience, and knowledge of real estate in the Twin Cities region.

His specialties include representation of office, medical office, retail and industrial users. He has also worked with hotel and residential developers on the assemblage and acquisition of urban infill sites. He has assisted commercial property owners in the purchasing, sale, and leasing of commercial property, and Hugh's acumen in performing investment analysis of property has benefited the bottom lines of many of his clients over the years.

Hugh enjoys spending time with his family, all forms of outdoor recreation (when Minnesota weather permits it!), and sampling the many varieties of Twin Cities beer.
