Stuart is The Ackerberg Group’s principal owner and is responsible for generating new business and quality control for the property management, leasing, development, acquisition and construction services of the company. Previously he served as Vice President for Heitman Financial Services, Ltd. and was General Partner, President and Chief Operating Officer for Birtcher Financial Services. An active member of ULI (Urban Land Institute), Stuart has presented on urban development topics at several of the organization’s national conventions. Stuart and his family reside in the western Twin Cities where they operate a Saddlebred horse ranch.

Mary joined The Ackerberg Group in 1995 as a property accountant and today oversees all operations of the company. Active in all of TAG’s development projects, Mary uses her finance expertise to efficiently evaluate projects and client goals. Mary serves as Real Estate Broker for the company and is an active member of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties). When not whipping up pro-formas, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband Jim and her Yorkie, Izzybah.

Jeffrey joined The Ackerberg Group in the summer of 2003, as assistant to Stuart Ackerberg. Since then, Jeffrey has earned his Minnesota real estate license and pursued additional corporate real estate education. Jeffrey is a member of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties) and ULI (Urban Land Institute). Jeffrey enjoys the diverse group of tenants he serves in his capacity as property manager. When not practicing real estate he can be found improving his home, playing the piano, honing his cooking skills and enjoying time with friends and family. Jeffrey earned a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

Lisa joined The Ackerberg Group in January of 2008 as an accounting clerk to help out Nathan and Jonna from drowning in numbers!  She is not a native to the Minnesotan cold, as she was born and raised in hot, sweltering Georgia. She is currently planning to transfer to the University of Minnesota where she will finish her degree in Management and Marketing. When she is not at work, Lisa loves to do various arts & crafts, read, and learn everything there is to know in life.

Mike rejoined The Ackerberg Group in June 2005 after first working with the group in 1992. Mike provides advisory services that include commercial and investment property sales and leasing, property repositioning / redevelopment, development, select buyer and tenant representation and consultation—primarily in the urban areas of the Twin Cities. Mike’s knowledge and experience in many different facets of commercial and multi-family real estate coupled with delivering superior service make him one of the most valuable players in the Twin Cities commercial real estate market. Mike serves on the boards of the Uptown Association, Lake Street Council, Hopkins Royal's Basketball Association, and Sholom Community Alliance. It is common to find Mike playing basketball, golf, and squash - and is even known to be found on the ski slopes from time to time. His enjoyment of sports and interest in engaging youth has led him to be active in youth sports - often coaching or volunteering in his community. He is also an active member of several real estate organizations, including the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA) and the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

After eight years in the medical field, Brie enjoys the people and fast-pace of the front desk in her dual role as receptionist for both The Ackerberg Group and the Lake Calhoun Executive Suites. Brie delivers clients top-notch support at the hub of the office. Away from the desk, Brie exercises her creativity through her own furniture refinishing business, home improvement projects and spending time with her nine grandchildren.

Thatcher joined The Ackerberg Group in August 2005 as a brokerage assistant. Since then, he has moved to the finance side of the company. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with his concentration in Urban Studies. Thatcher’s no stranger to Uptown, as he co-authored Uptown Minneapolis, a photographic history book on the area. He’s a member of the Urban Land Institute, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, the President of the Uptown Association, serves on the Southwest Community Education Advisory Council, served on the Uptown Small Area Plan Steering Committee. When not working, you can find Thatcher traveling to urban destinations, attending community meetings, biking, conducting historical research, and enjoying time with his wife, family and friends.

With experience at a property management firm in Florida and local experience working for Hines, Anna has an understanding of the world of commercial real estate. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in environmental design. Outside of work, Anna enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her little nephew.

Nathan proudly joined The Ackerberg Group in November of 2005 as a property accountant. He is a huge baseball fan who loves watching the Twins, and looks forward to traveling to some away games this year with his wife. Nathan also loves to play golf and do most any outdoor activity. Previously president of his own development company, SJ is The Ackerberg Group's Development Manager. SJ has a strong background in business and project management and is also a licensed Architect in Minnesota and California. He has lectured on management principles at the Carlson School of Business, Metro State University, and various professional organizations. He holds a Bachelors degree from M.I.T. and a Masters degree from the University of California at Berkeley. SJ serves on the St. Louis Park Human Rights Commission, which advises the City Council on how to ensure equal opportunity and participation in housing, employment, public service, public accommodations and education in St. Louis Park.

SJ likes spending free time pursuing life-long learning. He also enjoys European travel, museum hopping, sketching, dogs, and is an aficionado of hard-boiled detective literature.

Since then, Nicole has expanded her duties to include property management and overseeing the financial operation of the company. Nicole is an active member of NAIOP (National Association of Industrial and Office Properties) and holds her Minnesota Real Estate License. Nicole earned a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of Iowa. She enjoys reading, gardening and camping with her husband and two daughters.

Wayne started his real estate career with The Ackerberg Group in 1994 working in the brokerage division of the company. After three years he moved to a non-profit real estate development organization where he worked in leasing, acquisitions, and finance. Since then he put his financing expertise to good use at the mortgage company he created. Wayne is a graduate of St. Thomas and holds a Minnesota real estate license.

Today, Wayne is a property manager of a number of The Ackerberg Group properties. When not in the office, you may run into Wayne while he golfs, snowboards, plays hockey, or on one of his many bike rides.

When John is not problem solving, he is often found mentoring young men and participating in ministry at his church. Ron has served as Lake Calhoun Center’s maintenance engineer since 2003 and is The Ackerberg Group’s first line of defense when maintenance issues crop up. Ron is actively pursuing his locksmith certification and is a licensed boiler operator. A die-hard Vikings fan, Ron and his wife enjoy spending time at the games as well as gardening and home improvement.

Away from the office, Jennifer can be found hamming it up with her children, Harry and Lizzie.
